[vermont, keep it civil]

One of the good slogans going around these days.

[love thy neighbor share vermont]

The love your neighbor bit sounds a little churchy, but it was a good idea all the time anyhow. The Share Vermont people have the right idea. Put up your own damned signs. I haven't decided whether to go to this or not yet.

[stop homophobia]

Montpelier does not have many TBVT signs, but it does have a lot of pro Civil Union graffitti, signs, and other sign enhancements.

[you see them just *everywhere*]

This is what all the fuss is about: these damned signs that people display in their yards and on their homes as if they were the American flag. Proud to hate gays! It's baffling to me. Vermont has always been such a "leave your neighbor alone" state that this is hard to fathom.

[equal rights are not special rights, geez!]

The nice thing about having a teeny state capitol is that the politicians shop in the same food co-op as I do. Saw ths car parked in the parking lot -- general assembleyman. Note bumper sticker. Cool.
