Writing with Light
photography
in the north of England
determines the wall
is a dream
of red cloth. A photo
graph is a problem
of facts sewn
to the light emerging
from a chemical
on the paper in a tray
& the smell
of it is powerful, hardware
with every pop
& boil of the sun
we need drapery for our ../../images
& glass & stainless steel
translucence & buttonhooks
In Japan in the spring
a fairy maiden hovers
low in the warm sky
wakening the sleeping cherry trees
to life with her
delicate breath
try to snap
that shot
eminent as existence
draw this bruise
& win a million dollars
it is an earthly buzz
to shit dragonflies
take a picture
of the velvet dogma
of the walking ribs
of dimension traced with
watts of crackling lipstick
push the button
& the aperture dilates
yes my friend
it feels good
to act upon the visible
with such a flood of feeling
the ../../images become feral
glints of graphic light
